More than a watch, more than an accessory - a true passion

In 1938, the 50th anniversary marked the triumph of a family business that had now become a public limited company. To celebrate the transformation, the company was renamed with a name known worldwide today: Certina, from the Latin word Certus, meaning "sure, determined".

Like the rest of the Certina watches, this model features the Double Security concept, which means it can successfully withstand extreme conditions. The Double Security concept has been the company's trademark since 1959. Over years of technological improvements, DS has become an integral part of every Certina model, as a guarantee of high water and shock resistance.

Its dial has silver hour markers and oversized Arabic numerals at 12, 3 and 9. The minute track is on the outer edge, while the date window is at 4 o'clock. The Certina C0016472205700 watch has a stainless steel strap and an analogue dial covered by sapphire crystal.

The watch has a quartz movement, housed in a 42 mm men's case, 12 mm thick, made of stainless steel. Water-resistant to a depth of 200 m (20 atm), the watch offers the following functions: chronograph, GMT, date, hours, minutes, seconds.
