Tips for trimming your baby's nails:

• avoid trimming nails in the first days of life
• toenails should be cut straight across and not too short, to prevent them from growing into the skin
• fingernails should be cut rounded, following their natural shape (using the nail clipper from the Edman set, fingernails can be cut in a single movement, as it has a concave tip)
• trim nails when your baby is calm, to avoid accidents
