Step 1
Tear the wrapper open from a serrated edge and carefully remove the condom, as it can be damaged by fingernails or sharp objects (jewellery or piercings).

Step 2
Check that the condom is rolled outwards. If it is rolled inwards, it is inside out. Squeeze the closed end of the condom to make sure no air remains inside.

Step 3
While still squeezing the closed end, place the condom on the tip of the penis and roll it down with your other hand. If it starts to roll back up during sex, roll it back down immediately. If it comes off completely, stop and put on a new condom. Immediately after ejaculation, while the penis is still erect, hold the condom firmly at the base of the penis before withdrawing to prevent it from slipping off.

Step 4
After withdrawal, simply remove the condom, wrap it in a tissue and throw it in the bin. Do not flush it down the toilet.
